Elite Cottages
Large windows framing the entire Himalayan range. The most private of our collection — chosen by those who know exactly why they came to Mukteshwar.
A thirty-cottage estate above the clouds. Farm-to-fork dining. A working spa. The hills of Kumaon at your door, and a stillness that cities forget exists.
Digantaa was not built to be a hotel. It was built to be a place — one that the Kumaoni hills had been waiting for. When the founders stood on this ridge above Dhanachuli and looked north to the Great Himalayan wall, the question was not "what kind of resort should this be" but "how do we build something worthy of this view?"
The five cottage typologies — each named after birds that call these hills home — were designed with a single intention: that every guest would find their own relationship with the landscape. The Tesia for a quiet couple arriving on Friday evening. The Elite for a family wanting space to breathe.
Oregano grows its own herbs. The spa uses ingredients sourced within fifty kilometres. The staff are largely from the surrounding Kumaoni villages. This is not a policy — it is how this place was meant to work.

Oregano is not merely a restaurant. It is a kitchen that begins in the garden. Herbs are grown on the property. Seasonal vegetables arrive from farms within thirty kilometres. The chef knows every ingredient's origin before it reaches your plate — and the menu changes as the hills do.
At this altitude, the body already begins to slow. Our spa works with that — not against it. Treatments draw on Himalayan herbs and traditional Kumaoni practices, delivered by therapists who understand mountain wellness.
