A 350-year-old Shiva temple perched on the highest point in the area. Best visited at sunrise — both for the light and the relative quiet before the day's pilgrims arrive.

Chauli Ki Jali

A natural rock formation with a hole in the middle, framed by panoramic views of the Himalayan range. The local belief is that crawling through the rock grants wishes — true or not, the view alone is worth the walk.

Bhalu Gaad Waterfall

A 60-foot waterfall reached by a moderate forest trek through pine and oak. Carry water and good shoes. Best between September and December when the flow is heaviest but the trail is still dry.

Closest airport, 110 km / 3 hours by road. We arrange transfers on request — please notify reservations 48 hours ahead.

BY RAIL

Kathgodam Station

Closest railhead, 80 km / 2.5 hours by road. Overnight trains from Delhi arrive in early morning — perfect for a full day's drive into the hills.

BY ROAD

Self-Drive

From Delhi: 320 km, ~8 hours via NH-09. The final ascent through Bhowali is one of Uttarakhand's loveliest mountain drives.
