25 min driveA 350-year-old Shiva temple perched on the highest point in the area. Best visited at sunrise — both for the light and the relative quiet before the day's pilgrims arrive.
30 min driveA natural rock formation with a hole in the middle, framed by panoramic views of the Himalayan range. The local belief is that crawling through the rock grants wishes — true or not, the view alone is worth the walk.
45 min drive + walkA 60-foot waterfall reached by a moderate forest trek through pine and oak. Carry water and good shoes. Best between September and December when the flow is heaviest but the trail is still dry.
10 min driveDhanachuli's working apple orchards — heritage Indian varieties grown for generations. We can arrange a guided visit and harvest experience in season (September & October).
35 min driveA 19th-century stone church, beautifully maintained, with a small adjoining cemetery that records the British residents who first came to Mukteshwar. Quiet, atmospheric, photogenic.
